My Story
Having worked in the design industry for 20 or so years, I was always aware of a feeling that design was just something I did for a living. I’m good at it, but I wanted to find my purpose. Something that made a difference and had real meaning to it, to help people somehow…
I could always tell if someone at work wasn’t in a good place or if they were upset. I’m very empathic like that, however I didn’t know this was an actual skill. In my private life I’ve done so much self development work on myself, I had to. I needed to make a change from feeling very low and just coasting through life. The kind of lows I’ve experienced are a breakdown at university, depression, panic attacks and really feeling lost and like my life was on hold for many years.
Ever since then I’ve been on a mission to heal. I’ve had therapy, I saw alternative healers, had coaching, attended workshops, seminars, events and had in depth conversations with everyone and anyone who is on that wavelength.
2 years ago when I was at a coaching workshop, I was handed the mic by my mentor and I was invited to coach someone in the room. So, I took a deep breath and asked a few questions. After a few minutes they had some insights and then a breakthrough that was such a wonderful thing and an honour to witness. They were so happy! That day the penny dropped that I could be a coach, as it felt so much more me. Infact it’s something I had actually done all my life without realising it was a skill. Friends, colleagues and strangers would always open up to me so easily as they talked about their lives. Almost everyone always says “I don’t know why I’m telling you this but…” so yeah, this is something I do naturally.
So, I trained to become a life coach with the Mindful Talent Academy through 6 months of intense teachings and learnings. Coaching is such a powerful experience for someones life, I love it! To this day I’m continuing my self development work with anything I resonate with, so I can show up as the best version of myself for my life, my friends and family. And for my coaching clients.

“I felt seen and safe to share very personal topics. I am already seeing and living the change I was hoping to achieve. Thanks Oliver.”
